Our First Home

Army Public School, Dagshai, is not just a school to us—it’s a home and the foundation of who we are today. Growing up within its walls, we didn’t just receive an education; we built lifelong relationships, learned resilience, and imbibed values that shaped our character.

As boarders, our connection to Dagshai runs deeper than most. The early morning PTs, the camaraderie in the dorms and the discipline of school life are etched in our hearts. This wasn’t just where we studied—it was where we learned to stand tall, cherish friendships, and face life with determination and grit.

Dagshai taught us to dream big and stay grounded, to thrive as individuals while working as a team, and to uphold the principles of honor and integrity. Even years later, no matter where life has taken us, the lessons we learned and the memories we made in those hills remain our guiding light.

This bond is unshakable—a testament to the shared experiences and unwavering love we all carry for our alma mater, our beloved APS Dagshai.

Proud Daggers

We proudly call ourselves Daggers as a tribute to our alma mater, Army Public School, Dagshai. The nickname symbolizes the sharpness, resilience, and precision we embody—qualities instilled in us during our formative years at the school. Just like a dagger, we were forged to be strong and steadfast, shaped by the discipline of boarding life, the camaraderie of our peers, and the timeless lessons imparted by our mentors.

Being a Dagger is more than a name; it’s an identity. It reflects our unbreakable spirit, our ability to overcome challenges, and the lifelong bond we share as a family. The hills of Dagshai may be behind us, but the Dagger within us remains—sharp, unyielding, and forever loyal to the place that made us who we are.

ALUMNI CREST

After much experimentation, this is the final design for the Alumni Badge that I’ve created. It is specifically tailored to complement light-colored backgrounds on apparel or other surfaces. I’d love to hear your thoughts and feedback on it!

I have introduced new colors for the School Alumni Community to honor the rich heritage of our school while retaining the core elements of the pre-2000 school logo. These updates maintain the legacy of our institution while adding a fresh and contemporary touch.

Additionally, I’ve designed an Alumni Blazer crest and badge, tailored for use on light background apparel, ensuring versatility and elegance. Below are some graphic representations of these designs.

"28 years… and yet, it felt like yesterday.

We were just kids back then—full of dreams, laughter, and mischief.
On April 19, 2025, the notorious batch of ’97 came together once again.
Time may have aged us, life may have shaped us…
But in those few hours, we were just the same friends—raw, real, and rooted in memories.

We laughed like no time had passed.
We remembered those who couldn’t be with us… and we carried them in our hearts.

Some of us travelled from far and wide, some couldn’t make it…
But every single one of us was there—in spirit, in stories, in smiles.

This reunion was more than just a gathering.
It was a moment—etched forever.

Because childhood friendships… they never really end.
And even as we part again, we know…
The bonds we built back then, still hold strong.
Until next time, Batch of ’97…

You’ll always be home."

Our very own Jasmine discovered her younger doppelgänger right there in school — a sweet student also named Jasmine, who looked so much like her that it left us all doing double takes! It felt like time had folded in on itself, giving us a glimpse of our own Jasmine back in her school days. It was a surreal and beautiful moment — almost like the universe decided to play a little nostalgic trick on us!

Rebranding ourselves as “The Cantoners” is more than just a name change—it’s about building identity, pride, and recognition for the APS Dagshai alumni community. Here’s why it makes sense:

Shared Heritage & Strong Identity

  • “Cantoners” directly connects with Dagshai Cantonment—the historic environment where we grew up and studied.

  • It gives alumni a unique cultural anchor, unlike generic alumni titles.

  • Just like other Schools where they derive their legacy from the name or the year of building, “Cantoners” makes us instantly recognizable as part of a legacy.

The third is black with larger white cursive text reading "Cantoners" and white text beneath reading "HERITAGE 1846 LEGACY 1986."

Legacy→ The Cantoners draw their legacy from Dagshai’s cantonment heritage, connecting APS alumni to a legacy much older than the school itself.
